The FS40-4K MKII model is a 3D-LED-DLP projector from Barco, intended for Stationary applications, offering 2600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1800:1 at WQXGA 2560 x 1600. An LED lifespan of 50000 hours is noted in the data sheet for this model – equivalent to a usable life of 34.2 years at 4 hours a day. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 444 cm can be illuminated with 2600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 296 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. The HDBaseT connection particularly shows its strengths in complex installations, enabling long transmission paths with standard CAT cables.
