With the UM330X, Nec offers a Laser-LCD projector that features 3300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 72 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 500 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 333 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
