The hardware properties of the NP1000 manufactured by Nec include 3500 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast value of 800:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 3500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 515 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 343 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.

the beamer is absolutely top class. unfortunately mine is defective. it comes on normally but switches off again after a few seconds. 5x flashing red = lamp fault according to the description. Can anyone help? lamp defective? ballast unit?
