The Nec PH1201QL is a 3D-Laser-DLP projector that brings 120000 ANSI lumens, a UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 resolution alongside a contrast of 2000:1. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted on the projection surface without any loss of quality. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 120000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1066 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 711 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Since entering the market in 2016, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
