According to Nec, the UM280W model provides 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 3000:1 alongside a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 3000 hours before a replacement is necessary. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 72 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 538 cm can be illuminated with 2800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 359 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. This model dates back to 2012 and is no longer part of Nec's current product range.
