The equipment of the Nec ME401W projector includes 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 6000:1 with a WXGA 1280 x 800 display. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 4000 hours for this projector's lamp – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. Looking at practical performance, up to 643 cm can be illuminated with 4000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 429 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. This model dates back to 2016 and is no longer part of Nec's current product range.
