The projector P401W by Nec operates as a LCD device with 4000 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 4000:1. According to Nec, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Lens Shift Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
