As a projector, the Nec PA671W combines LCD technology with a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800, and is additionally specified with 6700 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 6000:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 3000 hours for this projector's lamp. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 6700 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 832 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 555 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
