The Nec PA550W is a LCD projector that brings 5500 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution alongside a contrast of 2000:1. According to Nec, the included lamp lasts up to 3000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 5500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 753 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 502 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. This model dates back to 2011 and is no longer part of Nec's current product range. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
