The projector SX4000 by Nec utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 at a resolution of SXGA 1280 x 1024. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1000 hours. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 501 cm can be illuminated with 3500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 334 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. This model dates back to 2002 and is no longer part of Nec's current product range. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
