The basic data of the Nec ME361W includes 3600 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 as well as a contrast of 6000:1. According to Nec, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 3600 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 610 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 407 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2016, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
