As a projector for the High-End Homecinema sector, the Benq W5700 is equipped with 1800 ANSI lumens, a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution and a contrast of 100000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 1800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 431 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 287 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The projector was released in 2019 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

Benq W5700
Super projector for the living area. Pleasantly quiet, perhaps also because it hangs from the ceiling. Can do 4K and 3d (I can‘t say anything about 3d because I‘m not a 3d viewer). If the sun is not shining directly on the screen, you can also see it in daylight. But then you have to make deductions from the picture. But it works. It‘s a great device for the normal small cineaste.
