In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 2700 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 453 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 302 cm. The projector was released in 2005 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq.

Lamp defective after 400h or the power supply unit
Has anyone had any experience with the service life of the lamp or power supply unit? My device is 4 years old, but the lamp has only been used for 400BS and the device was mainly ceiling-mounted.
For some time now, only a humming sound has been coming from the power supply unit when switching on, the lamp flickers briefly once, the fans do not start at all on the first pass, the fans also start on the second start attempt, the lamp flickers only once again and then the red lamp warning comes on.
Has anyone got any tips for me? Buying a new lamp on suspicion is very risky for me.

I use an original YUV cable from Oehlbach which is connected to an HD adapter on the xBox. Switch to American format in the xBox menu and you can then select. I personally use 720p.

Class projector
Can recommend this projector almost unreservedly. I use it in combination with a modded xBox for my home theater with a resolution between 720p and 1080i. Only the fans are a little annoying.
