Known as the W1080ST+, this 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Benq features basic specs of 2200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 at a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 3500 hours. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projection Calculator. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 138 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 2200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 318 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.

The play of colors is a feast for the eyes in this price range.
I use the system with a Geforce Quadro 6000 (CAD PC).
2D content is really quite good but the top hammer is the plastic 3D image and zero crosstalking or streaks thanks to tripple flash and 6XRGBRGB color wheel.
Pro:
- quiet in ECO mode
- good brightness
- short distance (1.5m from the screen)
- long lamp life
- illuminated remote control
- encapsulated light body (reasonably smoker-friendly)
Con:
- in standard mode fan noise slightly audible with quiet sound
- no lens shift
- very narrow zoom range of the lens

False information
The projector is top, no question. Unfortunately, it doesn‘t have lens shift. This is in the official data sheet from BenQ, but they told me it was probably a translation error. It‘s a pity but Keystone works too, not as well but that can‘t be changed now.
