As a projector for the Short Distance sector, the Benq MW853UST is equipped with 3200 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 8000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 70 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 575 cm can be illuminated with 3200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 383 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq.
