Equipped with DLP technology, the Benq MX514 offers 2700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. According to Benq, the included lamp lasts up to 4500 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.2 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 453 cm can be illuminated with 2700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 302 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 27 decibels. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq.
