The projector GV31 by Benq operates as a DLP device with 300 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast of 100000:1. An LED lifespan of 30000 hours is noted in the data sheet for this model – equivalent to a usable life of 20.5 years at 4 hours a day. Regarding the power supply, the projector features an internal battery that enables a mobile runtime of up to 5 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 176 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 117 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. Since the projector supports Miracast and Airplay screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2023, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
