The equipment of the Benq MS510 projector includes 2700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 with a SVGA 800 x 600 display. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4500 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.2 years at 2 hours of daily use. Regarding projection size, the value of 2700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 453 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 302 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.

For the price fully ok
Since this is my first projector I can say the following. The price is fully ok and the fan is very quiet, the lamp is bright only with the sharpness from 4 m distance from the wall (woodchip wallpaper) it hapert a bit, the menu is clear and gives many settings, Hdmi works perfectly on the Pc with an ati 5570 graphics card, but you should buy a good screen, that will be the next, then the picture is certainly even better, just look at youtube.

almost perfect home appliance at an affordable price
Experience: 5 months
Players: WD TV Live (ü. HDMI), DVB receiver (via component); Toshiba DVDPl (via component) - so far EVERYTHING has been reproduced correctly (the 1080p/60Hz feed is certainly "downsampled" internally - but this also works)
Thanks to built-in (wall) color correction without a screen, switchable to 16:9/16:10/4:3 (also automatically), no problems so far.
Brightness is sufficient in "normal mode" even for daylight bright room (only in direct sunlight is it too bright - but there are blinds for that) - the Ecomode is of course only sufficient from afternoon "blue hour" brightness.
The colors are rich, black almost really black (!!) - different modes can also be set here (cinema, presentation, automatic and 2 self-definable user presets)
The rainbow vision known from DLP has not occurred, at least for me so far....
All in all VERY recommendable for inexpensive home cinema.
Mankos: "only" SVGA - but doesn‘t bother in everyday use ...
