The Benq MW824ST is a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector that brings 3000 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution alongside a contrast of 13000:1. According to Benq, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 98 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 3000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 556 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 371 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
