The projector MP721 by Benq operates as a DLP device with 2500 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 2000:1. According to Benq, the included lamp lasts up to 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. With a value of only 28 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. This model dates back to 2006 and is no longer part of Benq's current product range.

When switching on our BenQ MP 721, the message Clean filter appeared although, as far as I know, the device does not have a removable air filter.
Does anyone know an explanation? Thank you.

Good device
Hello,
Have only recently purchased the device for use.
The projector has a bright and clear picture. It is still good even in sunlight. Unfortunately, the PS3 does not work with the device.
I guess this is due to the DHCP encryption.
P.S. I am looking for a remote control for the device. Unfortunately I didn‘t get one.

One point of criticism
The surface is very sensitive to scratches. Depending on the incidence of light, you can see even the smallest scratches that occur when cleaning with a cloth.

Very satisfied
The projector is quite quiet and the picture quality is good. I am very satisfied with it. For video signals, I have set the projector so that the image is not extrapolated but the effective number of pixels is used. Subjectively, I have the better picture quality (albeit with a smaller picture).
