Known as the H9500BD, this 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Acer features basic specs of 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 at a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2500 hours for this projector's lamp. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 2000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 454 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 303 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 30 decibels. Since entering the market in 2011, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

Had a Panasonic PT-AE 700 for a few years and was
very satisfied. Now it had to
make way for an Acer 9500. The Panasonic was already great and I didn‘t think there could be any improvement in this price range. The Acer is simply top class. Only the set-up (ceiling mounting) caused me some problems, as you need a minimum distance of 3.5 m with a screen width of 2.25 m. When mounting under a 2.4 m high ceiling, you reach the limits with the lens shift and keystone correction. Now the thing hangs and delivers fantastically clear images, natural colors and with a
barely audible fan noise. Conclusion: highly recommended.

HAMMER!!!
Absolutely the best projector in its price range! You can‘t get a better picture and comparable with current 3000 euro models. Its black level is so incredibly good. Better than in the movies. An absolute recommendation to buy. Even my wife is thrilled, even though she didn‘t want a home theater. She has since changed her mind. With this projector you are simply spoiled and the purchase is well worth it. You can‘t get a picture diagonal like this anywhere else for the money and the picture quality is nowhere near as good.

Good device
A best choice projector for me in terms of price/performance. Since it switches to 5x the number of revolutions of the color wheel in movie mode. With the best will in the world I can‘t detect any rainbow effect and I‘m actually prone to it. Previously had a Panasonic 700 720p LCD projector, so I don‘t understand the poor black level, subjectively the Acer has the more harmonious black. 2D top, 3D so far only Sky SBS(sidebyside) nice and better than in the cinema, it also has very good between image calculation. The only thing is that with 1080p signals there are small snow flurries, which are disturbing on dark pictures, but could also be due to the HDMI splitter, but I haven‘t been able to test how it is without it. Lens shift in the frame works better, but is sufficient for my application. Screen diagonal 120" even with lighting in the room good picture.1 star is deducted because you should always leave room for improvement ;)
