Designed for the Standard-Portabel sector, the P1200 model from Acer features 2600 ANSI lumens, a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast ratio of 3700:1. According to Acer, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 444 cm can be illuminated with 2600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 296 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 28 decibels. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

Good picture, but setup problems
The projector gets extremely hot in normal operation (not ECO), with ECO it‘s ok.
For me, the main disadvantage is that lateral positioning is not possible,
as the projector has no possibility for lateral equalization. The projector must therefore be positioned in the center of the picture. This is very
limiting for many applications in living rooms. The projector is quiet, bright and offers several features. I have not yet noticed any disadvantages of DLP. The resolution is also ok. However, if the projector is not set up on the living room table, but in a slightly raised position (e.g. 1.10 m, such as a chest of drawers or cupboard), then the projector must be tilted downwards (!), otherwise half the image will be on the ceiling. In other words, you have to put something underneath at the back because the
leveling screws are only designed for upward tilted operation. So the problem is not the picture, but the positioning! This is not a problem in an office with a suspended ceiling, but most living rooms are not offices...

Glass part
For XXX € I have found a dream projector with HDMI input
Light and size at approx. 4 m perfect, thanks to the 3D function and the shutter glasses a real experience... Replacement lamp also relatively cheap but 4000 h take a long time anyway
Have fun with the part, for me it was worth it!!! I‘ll just say World Cup and Sky :)
