The X1240 is a 3D-LED-DLP projector by Acer, whose specifications list 2700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 5000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 6.8 years when used for 2 hours a day. Looking at practical performance, up to 453 cm can be illuminated with 2700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 302 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
