The Acer PL2530i is a DLP projector offering 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 26 decibels.
