With the X1161 / 3D, Acer offers a 3D-LED-BrilliantColor-DLP projector that features 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 and a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 3000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 2500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 435 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 290 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2009 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer.

I can now give a rather moderate verdict after almost 300 projector hours, picture is clean, contrast very good for the price, what is annoying are sometimes horizontal stripes that appear in fast scenes. I use the projector with a Humax HD-Fox via a Y,PB,PR to VGA cable as a TV first (I no longer have a TV). Sometimes the projector simply switches off during operation. According to the operating LED, there is unfortunately no error listed. My previous X1160Z was worlds better and is unfortunately no longer available. Device must now be repaired
