The Acer X1170A is a 3D-LED-DLP projector that brings 2700 ANSI lumens, a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution alongside a contrast of 10000:1. According to Acer, the included lamp lasts up to 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 453 cm can be illuminated with 2700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 302 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer.
