Equipped with LCD technology, the Panasonic PT EW540 offers 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
