The PT RS20K model is a DLP projector from Panasonic, intended for Event applications, offering 20000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 at SXGA+ 1400 x 1050. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1232 cm can be illuminated with 20000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 821 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. This model dates back to 2017 and is no longer part of Panasonic's current product range. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
