The hardware properties of the PT AE1000E manufactured by Panasonic include 1100 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast value of 11000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 1100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 337 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 225 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

I am very satisfied. Absolutely great device. My first lamp has now over 2500h and still works :) The only downside is that the replacement lamp was really expensive, but that‘s my own fault, I made the wrong purchase.

Operating noise
I have read in other tests that the projector is whisper quiet at 22dB. Conventional projectors are already very quiet at 26-35db.

PT-AE1000 review
I have been testing this projector since 12/2006. Apart from the slightly lower picture brightness, I am very satisfied even with the default settings NORMAL and CINEMA 1 ex works!
All inputs worked straight away, deinterlacing is very good. When zooming with HDMI signal, however, there are occasional jerks at the bottom of the screen (probably a firmware bug in the 1st series! - )
