The PT-TX400 is a LED-LCD projector by Panasonic, whose specifications list 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. According to Panasonic, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 92 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 515 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 343 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Panasonic. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
