Known as the PT L597E, this LCD projector by Panasonic features basic specs of 1700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 200:1 at a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. According to Panasonic, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 1700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 359 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 239 cm. The projector was released in 1999 and is officially no longer distributed by Panasonic. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
