This projector from Panasonic utilizes Laser-LCD technology, achieving 1500 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 16000:1 at a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. According to Panasonic, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 393 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 262 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. The projector was released in 2007 and is officially no longer distributed by Panasonic. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.

Have had this projector for 3 years now and can only agree with the positive reviews. I have no dust effects, have never had a malfunction, operate the device directly on the satellite receiver via HDMI or optionally on the notebook (also HDMI).

A great device
I am extremely impressed with the picture quality. After setting the picture options with the help of the THX Optimizer from DVD and the projector‘s own tools (waveform monitor, etc.), you get a cinema-like picture. Full HD really pays off with a large screen diagonal. The connection options are really varied, but I mainly used HDMI. I would buy the device again if I didn‘t already have it.

2 x exchanged..never again !
In principle I was satisfied with the device.
-good picture, quiet etc.pp
but my first had dust after 8 hours and my second after only 5 hours !
twice very annoying and agonizing exchange business with FH.
I didn‘t want a third one, because after intensive internet research at beisammen.de and in hifi-forum.de I discovered a lot, too many owners with dust problems.
Now I got myself a TW 2000. It‘s dust-free and also produces a stronger black and better native contrast.
I would never buy an AE 2000 again, but PANA actually makes good equipment.

Super HD projector!!!
The Panasonic is really top. There is really nothing to complain about the picture. Blu Ray, HD and DVD all come out really well. I have also connected it to my computer to show digital pictures, which almost come close to slide quality. The only drawback I see compared to my old Sony projector is that it has no mute function to switch the picture to black and that it shows a menu when it is switched off, where you have to press the switch-off button twice. (Unless someone here knows a solution)
Remote control is a bit weak in terms of transmission power, as I can‘t get through a pane of glass, which wasn‘t a problem with my Sony.
Other than that, a really successful, quiet device.

have had the pt-ae 2000 for 3 months now and am completely thrilled. i can‘t take anything away from the criticism here, as it‘s mindless nonsense from people who have no idea. as with every projector, you should also make fine adjustments to the pt-ae2000. in return, you get an outstanding projector at a currently unbeatable price. of course, if you fire up the box and set the dynamic mode and turn the brightness all the way up, you can also use it to illuminate a construction site. my tip: try it out at a specialist who has set the device perfectly and not at a mädia market or sadurn, where aunt erna from the cleaning crew adjusts the devices. pt-ae2000 = fullHD in perfection.

have mine tuned even better black value like series am thrilled with the device
why put down more money for a JVC or sony the Pannasonic is genaudie alternative to the expensive beamers

Have seen three devices in direct comparison, two brand new and with dust !
In all modes the room was illuminated as bright as day......useless. Double images and ghost images with strong contrast jumps..nope PANA that‘s nothing.
