As a projector, the Panasonic PT DS8500E/U (USA) combines DLP technology with a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050, and is additionally specified with 10600 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 10000:1. According to Panasonic, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 897 cm can be illuminated with 10600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 598 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance.
