The PT-TW381R model from Panasonic combines LCD technology in the Short Distance sector with 3300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 and a native WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. According to Panasonic, the included lamp lasts up to 10000 hours, which amounts to roughly 13.7 years at 2 hours of daily use. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 92 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 584 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 389 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2020, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
