As a projector, the Panasonic PT L720E combines LCD technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 2200 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 400:1. According to Panasonic, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 408 cm can be illuminated with 2200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 272 cm. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Panasonic.
