As a projector, the Panasonic PT AE300E combines LCD technology with a resolution of WSVGA 960 x 540, and is additionally specified with 800 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 800:1. According to Panasonic, the included lamp lasts up to 5000 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. A look at the light output reveals: The 800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 287 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 191 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 28 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
