The equipment of the Panasonic PT EW640 projector includes 5800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 with a WXGA 1280 x 800 display. According to Panasonic, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 774 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 516 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. This model dates back to 2014 and is no longer part of Panasonic's current product range. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
