As a projector, the Panasonic PT-VW340Z combines LCD technology with a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800, and is additionally specified with 3700 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 3000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Looking at practical performance, up to 618 cm can be illuminated with 3700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 412 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Panasonic.
