The EH TW3600 is a Laser-LCD projector by Epson, whose specifications list 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. According to Epson, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 5.5 years possible. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

3 x 0,74" LCD TFT Panel mit MLA HDTV 16/9 Liquid Crystal Display with Micro Lense Array
Small addendum:
Don‘t use the Datacolor software for calibration (e.g. TV Spyder, because it‘s not much good), but something professional like "CalMANv4" or even better "Colorimetre HCFR". This is available free of charge including the test charts and also has an excellent tutorial (in English, but very detailed!) So if you have the time, desire and the muse to familiarize yourself with this topic, you will find almost everything the heart of an ambitious projector owner desires on this page.

Lens Shift etc.
The projector must be set up vertically (i.e. at a 90° angle to the screen), then there will be no distortion. Under no circumstances should you tilt it up or down or sideways, otherwise it won‘t work. Otherwise, the projector is fabulously good in terms of picture, color, brightness, contrast, settings and fan volume. After an exact calibration with a densitometer (e.g. Spydermaus from Colordata), true-to-life colors are almost within reach - amazing! This is where the 12bit D7 3LCD chip becomes noticeable (which is why it is essential to set the Blu-ray player to >uncrompressed 4-4-4!
After the gamma correction, I didn‘t even notice the poor black level caused by the LCD.
The 50 or max. 60Hz playback is as smooth as butter for my eyes (a small hint: 24 frames are biologically sufficient for the human brain to no longer register any jerking. In my opinion, the double frame rate is therefore sufficient in 98% of cases, even with fast pans).
One small drawback is the housing, which is not entirely dust-resistant. Therefore, always vacuum the apartment and air filter (from the outside), otherwise dust particles could settle on one or more chips, creating unsightly large color circles on the screen. And then only a service check in the repair shop will help
Conclusion: An almost perfect and inexpensive Full HD projector for home theater, if you pay attention to certain things.

Lens Shift
Hello Harry,
Lens Shift all well and good. Can I move the image? But unfortunately I can‘t get rid of the distortion of the image if my projector is not directly in the middle of the screen. My projector hangs from the ceiling and so I have a distorted image. This means that the picture is narrower at the top than at the bottom. This is very annoying. I will therefore be returning the EH-TW3600. Or am I just being too stupid? I am a bleeding beginner in this story. So if you can help me I‘m all ears
Grüßle

Wow
Hello,
I also had the Samsung 600 before, unfortunately I notice the rainbow effect and it is very annoying for my eyes in the long run, I got the 3600 and am very satisfied, picture and noise level great, only disadvantage: keystone adjustment not possible.

TW 3600 a very good price / performance winner !
The TW3600 is now my second projector.
Before that I had a SamsungSP600 which was already very cool from the HD picture.
But I have to say the TW3600 makes me almost speechless from the picture...simply the hammer!
