The EB-1480Fi is a LCD projector by Epson, whose specifications list 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 108 resolution. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 54 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 5000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 479 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. A massive advantage for fixed installations is the HDBaseT interface, which transmits video, audio, and control signals losslessly over long cable runs. Thanks to support for Miracast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (8W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
