The EMP 8200 is a LCD projector by Epson, whose specifications list 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 600:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Distance Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 3500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 515 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 343 cm. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson.
