Categorized in the Short Distance segment, the EB-L690SE projector from Epson projects with a UHD (4K2K+) 3840 x 2400 resolution, alongside 6000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 5000000:1. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 30000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 20.5 years at 4 hours a day. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projector Calculator. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 100 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 6000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 675 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 450 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
