Based on LCD technology, the Epson EB-5530U device delivers 5500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 15000:1 as a projector. According to Epson, the lamp has a durability of 5000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.8 years possible. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 753 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 502 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. A massive advantage for fixed installations is the HDBaseT interface, which transmits video, audio, and control signals losslessly over long cable runs. Thanks to support for optional Miracast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. Since entering the market in 2016, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
