The EH TW420 model is a Laser-LCD projector from Epson, intended for Homecinema operations, offering 2000 ANSI lumens and a display in WXGA 1280 x 800. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 3000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 28 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. This model dates back to 2008 and is no longer part of Epson's current product range. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

Experience with the projector
My projector does NOT have horizontal keystone correction, which reduces the installation options somewhat. There are no references to this in either the manual or the menu
I have had the projector since May 2009. It was screwed to the ceiling and I am quite satisfied with the device. The picture quality is very good and the brightness is quite good. I only use Eco Mode, which makes the device pleasantly quiet. Only at the height of summer was the fan clearly audible due to the high ambient temperatures (~30°C). Apparently it couldn‘t cope with the high temperatures, green, round areas had formed, which were clearly visible in dark picture content, and is now being repaired.

no strong colors
hello everyone,
I bought the beamer Epson EH-TW420 2 months ago.
at the beginning I only had black and white, and after a few settings I got the colors so that you can see something. but the colors are still really pale.
do you know what i could do about it or should i have a technician come?

extrem
The 420 from Epson is the hammer in terms of price
and in my opinion recommendable,
for beginners and average film freaks
I leave the "upper class" out of the equation.
Greetings Dave

Good except for the contrast
I‘ve had the projector for a few days now. Via HDMI cable it delivers a very sharp picture with good colors and brightness. However, the contrast and black level are rather poor. 2000:1 can never be right here, the "black" is as bright as my old projector, which only had 400:1 contrast. But if you can live with that, you get a good entry-level projector.
