A projector from Epson is the EB-L25000U, whose Laser-LCD model delivers 25000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 and a contrast of 2500000:1. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 25000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1606 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 1071 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. Since entering the market in 2016, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
