The Epson EB 585W is a LCD projector that brings 3300 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution alongside a contrast of 10000:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 4000 hours for this projector's lamp. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 54 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 3300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 584 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 389 cm. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. This model dates back to 2014 and is no longer part of Epson's current product range. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
