The basic data of the Epson EH TW6000 / W includes 2200 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080 as well as a contrast of 40000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Regarding projection size, the value of 2200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 318 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

So I‘ve had the projector since 15.05.2012, not quite 2 days ago! This means that I can‘t give a 100% rating yet...I‘d have to test it a little longer for that...! The first impression was great! A very colorful and clear picture...even with 720p, because I had to make my settings on the PS3 first! After that, however, I have to say: the picture blew me away! Despite a fairly large picture (300x169cm thrown from a distance of about 4m), no pixels are recognizable from a distance of about 3.5m! Only when you stand directly in front of it can you "count" them!
Video games, movies (2D+3D), PC I haven‘t tested yet and other media sources simply run great on this projector! Oh and the 3D picture literally blows you away! It‘s in no way inferior to real 3D cinema...! Of course, the picture is a bit darker than in 2D, but that‘s normal because of the glasses...and it‘s still bright enough...almost more pleasant than in 2D mode, as it‘s almost a bit too bright here! The stutters that are mentioned here are there...also somewhat noticeable...yes! However, I have to say that the bombastically clear and colorful picture makes up for everything and therefore the Epson EH TW 6000 is a mega bargain for home cinema owners (1400€)! Here and there a few savings were made (no lens shift, well audible iris diaphragm, ... just what the others have already described here but it makes me personally and certainly many other movies and games freaks a lot of fun!

Clearly visible delay
Hello,
I‘ve had the projector for a few months, but I‘ve only just noticed that it displays the image with a perceived delay of 150ms. This has enormous disadvantages, e.g. when playing online with the PS3 against others or when the steering wheel lags behind in car racing simulators.
No data sheet or seller of this type says anything about it, but Epson confirmed to me that the chipset would need some time, but this ensures that the picture is better than on devices without delay.
For me a reason to want to return it, which I will do now.
Shame, otherwise it was really perfect and for people who just want to watch movies, this delay is not an issue, as there are aids for this in DVD players or playback programs.
Greetings Herbert

Price/Performance
Hello,
I looked at the three big ones: JVC X30, Epson TW9000 and Sony HW30. For me the HW30 was clearly the best, but with 3D mkv`s (sbs) so bad that the picture is unbearable.
After thinking about it for 2 months and not wanting to spend about 3500 EUR, I bought the TW6000
.
Of course it has microruckler and the picture is not so good and in 3D it is also loud and then still without Lensshift (that really should not have been - 1 star deduction).
Since I am sure that this will not be my last projector and it also shows 3D mkv`s in really good quality and all for 1300 EUR, I can only say: TOP

Great 3D and - for me - no jerking
Have had the projector for 3 weeks now and have only noticed the following annoying things so far
-In 3D mode, the fans are very audible
-The iris diaphragm creaks in slow operation, either switch quickly or off
-Only suitable for fixed mounting due to lack of lens shift
Other than that, the projector has convinced me. I control the projector via a PC with an ATI graphics card (6450). I don‘t see any micro-jerks.
I‘m fascinated by the 3D picture. No flickering, as with some TVs or similar. An ideal device for the home.
And when my daughter is older, I can listen loud enough so that you can‘t hear the fan... ;) -
Before I had a Sanyo PLV-Z 700, which also cost
1140 euros. Now I think 1350 euros for a FullHD 3D projector is reasonable. Unbeatable for the price for me and a top device!

halfway ok
Optically, the projector makes a high-quality impression, but what‘s inside doesn‘t meet my expectations. The picture is bright and so are the colors, but the micro-jerks cannot be overlooked. Anyone who doesn‘t see them should take a look at the comparison with other projectors in FullHd so that they can see the difference. It‘s no better in 3D, here you can see ...well ok little, ghosting. Anyone who can‘t see that doesn‘t know the comparison either. Then there‘s the extremely annoying iris diaphragm. All in all, a good but relatively expensive entry-level projector. Unfortunately, I don‘t want to live with the shortcomings, so I returned it. Now I have the Sony one, which is even more expensive, but it works.

Stutters a lot
Had the Epson in my home for a test
I use it with an Onkyo TX-NR807 and Telekom Entertainment and Panasonic BD player
For testing with 3D, it was connected directly to the Panasonic BD player with HDMI, as the Onkyo cannot do 3D
Contrast was very good, but it was a bit weak in daylight
The colors looked very natural. So for the picture (contrast/colors) it would have gotten 4.5 stars, but it only got 2.5 stars for the following additional reasons:
- A LOT of jerking, clearly visible with 2D and 3D and therefore not portable
- The projector was too loud for me, you could clearly hear the iris and that‘s not possible
- Ghosting in 3D is clearly visible.
The brightness was OK, but in daylight it showed weaknesses, well, it‘s only 2200 ANSI lumens.
Conclusion:
If I have to pay 1400€ for a projector, I don‘t think it should be jerky, even a very good picture doesn‘t help. As a home cinema projector, an iris should not be audible either.

I‘m thrilled...
After swapping my ACER H5360 for the TW6000 last night, I realized what a difference there is between the 600€ class and the up to 1500 class.
The picture is colorful, rich in contrast and above all still. Nothing flickers (of course, DLP to 3LCD). It also convinced me with 3D.
What I couldn‘t understand was that the old one was rated at 2500ANSI, whereas the new one only has 2200, but the picture still seems twice as bright. Now you can also drive the tracks in Gran Turismo 5 at night, because you can see so well. Great device, I didn‘t notice any stuttering.

So far quite ok
The projector is a good device, but perfect is probably something else. What I noticed was that the picture jerks in 2D and 3D, even though it has always been said that there is no ghosting with 3D projectors... you can‘t miss it with this device. Unfortunately, I was not so satisfied and sent it back.

Unbeaten !
The projector is definitely the best in this price range !It‘s extremely bright and fantastic in 3D !
Nothing jerks !
Due to the price, the lack of lens shift and intermediate image calculation are bearable.

great price-performance ratio!
I‘ve had the projector for a week and I‘m totally thrilled.
It produces a huge picture and even with the factory settings
very natural colors. The brightness is more than sufficient for home cinema. 3D movies look great and very quiet. At this price, you can get over the lack of lens shift and creative frame interpolation CFI in a 3D projector.

Contrast 40000.1 not 200000:1
You can read all about it in the extra linked brochure. Almost all the data of the TW9000 has been copied here. I ordered it, more detailed evaluation to follow.

The EH-TW6000 has no lens shift according to the manufacturer
The lack of shift is not a problem, as the device only has a small offset, but the image impression is probably not quite finished yet.

The EH-TW6000 has no lens shift according to the manufacturer
Hi, so on the pictures you can see the 9000 and according to the manufacturer‘s website there is no lens shift function and I have also read elsewhere that in contrast to the larger 9000 model the 6000 does not have a lens shift function and I think this is a very important detail.
(Rating has no meaning as I do not have the device and have not tested it!!!)
