The Acer P1185 is a 3D-DLP projector that brings 3200 ANSI lumens, a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution alongside a contrast of 20000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 5.5 years when used for 2 hours a day. Looking at practical performance, up to 493 cm can be illuminated with 3200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 329 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.

The projector is a really solid and very bright device with low power consumption. In terms of brightness and color reproduction, it can hardly be distinguished from high-priced ones. Despite its native resolution of only 800x600, it delivers clear and smooth images. A clear purchase recommendation for all those who like to present (brightness) and also watch a movie from time to time (color reproduction)
