The Acer PL1220 is a 3D-LED-DLP projector offering 4500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 30000 hours – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. A look at the light output reveals: The 4500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 584 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 389 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
