Based on DLP technology, the Acer FL8610 device delivers 9500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 2000000:1 as a projector. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projector Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 9500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 990 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 660 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2018, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
